West Piedmont Health District adds 18 coronavirus cases to total count

The West Piedmont Health District added 18 COVID-19 cases to the total count on Monday.


The department of health reported 10 cases in Martinsville; seven males in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s, and three females in their 10-20s and 40s.


In Henry County, six people tested positive for the coronavirus; five men in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s and a female teen.


A man and a woman, both in their 20s, were Franklin County's reported cases.


Henry County's total is now at 293 cases with 24 hospitalizations and four deaths.

Martinsville has a total of 87 cases, including 12 hospitalizations and one death.

In Franklin County, there are 104 cases with six hospitalizations and one death.

Patrick County has 48 cases with three hospitalizations and two deaths.
