Teen Suspect in Custody Following Robbery at Collinsville Vape Store

COLLINSVILLE, VA – May 28, 2025 (BTW21)
A 16-year-old male is in custody following an afternoon robbery at the Infinity Tobacco and Vape Store in Collinsville, Virginia, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, the Martinsville-Henry County 911 Center received a report of a robbery in progress at the store, located at 2419 Virginia Avenue.
Authorities say a white male entered the establishment and demanded money while keeping one hand in his pocket, leading the employee to believe he was armed.
The suspect fled the scene on foot after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash.
Deputies responded swiftly, having been in close proximity to the area at the time of the call.
A white male matching the suspect’s description was located behind the store and taken into custody without incident. The stolen money was recovered at the scene.
The suspect, a 16-year-old juvenile, has not been identified publicly due to his age. He is charged with two violations under the Virginia Code:
18.2-58 – Robbery
18.2-422 – Concealment of identity
He has been transported to the W.W. Moore Juvenile Detention Facility in Danville, where he will remain in custody pending his next court appearance.
