FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (BTW21) — ABC13 News has obtained warrants that shed new light on the tragic murder of 24-year-old Emily Keene, whose body was discovered inside a vehicle on Holley Ridge Road in Franklin County earlier this week.

The discovery has led to the arrest and murder charges against two men.

Keene’s lifeless body was found on Monday, prompting an immediate investigation by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. The case quickly escalated, and authorities charged Isaiah Witcher and Corion Manns in connection with her death.

According to the newly released warrants, Keene was in a romantic relationship with Witcher, one of the suspects.

Witcher reportedly told investigators that he and Keene were in the car with Manns when a fatal altercation occurred.

The warrants indicate that Manns allegedly shot and killed Keene during the incident.

Witcher’s account of events further states that after the shooting, Manns fled the scene. Authorities were able to track him down in Rocky Mount, where he was taken into custody.

During questioning, Manns admitted to going to a family member’s house following the shooting. Investigators reportedly found a firearm at that location, which they believe was used in the murder.

Both Witcher and Manns have been charged with one felony count of second-degree murder and one felony count of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

These charges stem from Keene’s untimely death, which has left friends and family reeling in shock.

The case remains under investigation as authorities continue to piece together the details of that fateful night.

Keene’s death has prompted an outpouring of grief from the community, with many expressing disbelief over the senseless violence that claimed the young woman’s life.

As the investigation progresses, deputies are working to determine the motive behind the crime.

Meanwhile, Witcher and Manns remain in custody as the legal proceedings move forward.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office has urged anyone with further information about the incident to come forward as they continue to seek justice for Emily Keene.
