Three arrested for stealing equipment from Waid Recreation Park

ROCKY MOUNT – On August 27, Franklin County Recreation Park reported a theft from a building at Waid Park. Numerous items including tools, chain saws, and leaf blowers were stolen from a building at the park. Investigators from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office were soon able to develop suspects due to evidence left at the scene. Investigators have arrested three individuals in this case and were able to recover most of the stolen property. Debra Leah Shaver, 34, of Rocky Mount was charged with felony grand larceny. Both Ronald Lee Duncan Jr., 40, of Rocky Mount and Jason Michael Ramey, 29, of Rocky Mount were charged with felony burglary and felony grand larceny.

Shaver and Ramey were both released on a $2,500 unsecured bond and Duncan was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond. This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges may be pending.
