
FRANKLIN COUNTY – State Police is investigating after a single vehicle crash killed a 20-year-old on Saturday.
It happened at 2:07 AM on Route 220, just north of South Side Drive in Franklin County.
According to state police, a 2006 Scion TC was traveling south on Route 220 when it ran off the left side of the road and overturned several times.
Police say the driver, David Clifton Lindsey of Floyd, was not wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.
A male passenger was transported by a family member to a local hospital then transferred to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
The state police crash reconstruction team was called to assist.
The crash remains under investigation.
