[Wentworth, N.C.]— Rockignham County Sheriff's Investigators have charged and arrested GAVIN ANTHONY DAVIS, 33, of 842 Sandy Creek Ln. Stuart, Va. for felonious Second Degree Kidnapping, Breaking and Entering, Assault by Pointing a Gun, and Injury to Real Property following an incident involving his mother earlier this morning.
According to Lisa Marie Huges, 54, (mother) GAVIN ANTHONY DAVIS arrived at her home located at 740 O'Bryant Rd. Reidsville, N.C. between 6:30-7 a.m. this morning and knocked on the door, then threw a rock threw the window of the residence. Huges opened the door to investigate at which point GAVIN ANTHONY DAVIS confronted her with a shotgun. DAVIS then entered Huges' residence without her consent and attempted to make her leave the residence and get into his car. Huges began speaking with her son and at one point, GAVIN ANTHONY DAVIS walked outside and she was able to shut the door and lock him outside. Huges then called 9-1-1. Huges was not injured in the exchange.
GAVIN ANTHONY DAVIS was placed in the Rockingham County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 31st.
