HENRY COUNTY – Police in Martinsville and Henry County are searching for a white male driving a red van. The male driver stopped in front of a home on Greyson Street with kids playing outside. ”He came in front of my house trying to get my kids to come to his van because he had candy,” the mother of the kids told BTW21 Sunday evening.
After the incident Sunday at around 5 PM, the concerned mother called 911 to report what had happened. Officers from the Martinsville Police Department and deputies from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area and began searching for the red van. Police stopped a 2010 Chrysler van on Glade Street with a man and woman in it. They were let go after no connection to the incident was made.
The mother describes the suspect has “a white man with a bald head, a white t-shirt and baggy blue jeans.”
According to the Martinsville-Henry County 911 Center, this is the third incident that has occurred recently.
