Police search for ValleyStar credit Union robbery suspect

COLLINSVILLE – The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery that occurred at Valley Star Credit Union located at 41 Wheeler Avenue Collinsville, VA.  On June 6, 2018 at approximately 4:16pm, a male entered the credit union, approached a teller and presented a note demanding money.  The suspect placed his hand in his pocket on an object that appeared to be a firearm.  An actual firearm was not displayed.  The suspect fled the credit union in the gold SUV depicted in the photograph with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.  No one was injured in the incident.

            The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s, dark hair, approximately 6’02” and weighing approximately 225-250 pounds.  He was wearing a dark blue hat with a star on it, sunglasses and a gray t-shirt. 

Anyone having information regarding this robbery or the identity of the individual in the attached photos is asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at (276) 638-8751 or the Crimestoppers Program at 63-CRIME (632-7463).  The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards up to $2,500.00 for information related to crimes.  The nature of the crime and the substance of the information provided determine the amount of reward paid.
