MARTINSVILLE – MPD invites all area youth to weekend event. Come by Uptown Pinball on September 22nd, between 11:00am up until 5:00pm and enjoy the afternoon playing all the pinball machines and video games! We will have officers from Martinsville Police Department’s Law Enforcement Explorer Post to answer your questions and register you if you desire.
Police Explorers are for Boys and Girls age 14 to 20. As an Explorer you will gain exposure to various criminal justice careers and have positive interaction with law enforcement professionals. You will obtain “hands-on” experience and awareness of the criminal justice system, which can assist you to make an informed decision on a career in law enforcement or a related field. You will be able to engage in community service and networking activities by assisting sponsoring agency in a supplementary law enforcement and liaison capacity.
Regular admission to Uptown Pinball is $12.00 to play the pinball and video games. If you join the Post, admission will be $9.00!
