HENRY COUNTY – While primary roads are clear, that’s not the same story for secondary roads. Many of those roads remain snow covered and are slick at spots. The Virginia Department of Transportation and Martinsville City Works continue to ask you to only drive if it’s an emergency. They remind you to use extreme caution while on the road. They say their crews are working around the clock to clear the streets. Weather wise, BTW21 weatherman Dustin Staples expects all roads to be clear by Thursday. Power outages and trees down are also a concern on streets. Two trees blocked one lane of The Great Road Monday afternoon. During the snow storm Sunday, 2,500 customers were without power in Henry County. By 2 PM Monday, that number was down to 500.
