BLACKBERRY – A Henry County man is asking the public for help identifying an individual who stole multiple items from his front porch. The male is believed to be in his 50s and was accompanied by a black-haired female. Surveillance cameras captured the man stealing a STIHL chainsaw, weed eater with pole saw attachment, leaf blower, Chicago Electric 110/220 welder and welding helmet. They were stolen from his home on Blackberry Road, Tuesday, August 28 between 10 AM to 12 PM. The vehicle used in theft is believed to be a older model, red Ford Ranger. All together the equipment's value is $1,000. The home owner says a reward is offered.
Anyone having information regarding this incident or the identity of the individual is asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at 276-638-8751 or the Crimestoppers Program at 276-632-7463. The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards up to $2,500.00 for information related to crimes. The nature of the crime and the substance of the information provided determine the amount of reward paid.
