COLLINSVILLE – A man was resuscitated after drowning at the swimming pool of a Collinsville hotel on Monday.
At approximately 7:18 PM, crews received a call for an unresponsive individual at the Quality Inn/Dutch Inn on Virginia Avenue.
The sheriff's office says life saving measures were taken by citizens and first responders on a 24-year-old male that was removed from the pool.
The man of Brooklyn, NY, was transported to Sovah Health in Martinsville and later airlifted to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he is currently being treated.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Henry County Department of Public Safety and Fieldale-Collinsville Rescue responded to the scene.
