PATRICK COUNTY, VA – A man in his 40s is Patrick County's first confirmed case of COVID-19.
Nancy Bell, Population Health Manager of the Virginia Department of Health West Piedmont District, said the man is in isolation at home.
Bell said the source of the infection is could be related to the patient's domestic travel history.
His close contacts have been identified and quarantined.
The one reported this morning on VDH's website for this locality was an error, it was from another district.
This gentleman TESTED positive for Covid19. When people read this headline they are instilled with fear and their first thought is the first man in Patrick County “dies” of Covid19. He did not die.
