PATRICK COUNTY – A Danville man was arrested Tuesday on charges of murder and child abuse resulting in serious injury, according to Patrick County Sheriff Dan Smith.
Smith stated that investigators from the Danville Police Department met at the Sheriff’s office Tuesday morning and advised they had information that John Robert Shore, 30, of 21 Doolittle Street in Danville, was working at the auto tent sale in the Stuart Walmart parking lot. Shortly after noon, deputies located Shore at the tent sale and arrested him on the outstanding warrants from Danville. The Sheriff indicated that the allegations against Shore included the intentional assault and subsequent death of his one-year-old baby. Shore was booked in at the Patrick County Jail and taken by the Danville Police investigators to their jail. Shore is being held without bail.
