P&HCC WELCOMES JOE HUGHES AS LADY PATS HEAD SOFTBALL COACH

Patrick & Henry Community College has named Joe Hughes as the Lady Pats head softball coach for the 2025–2026 season.
Hughes brings six years of experience coaching local high school and travel baseball and softball. He will lead a Lady Pats program known for achieving success both on the field and in the classroom.
“I’m a big advocate for hard work, and I know that the Lady Pats are as well,” Hughes said. “I’m excited to continue the legacy of excellence that has been built at P&H alongside this group of stellar athletes.”
Brandon Johnson, P&HCC’s director of athletics and student engagement, said Hughes’ experience developing local athletes will be valuable to the program.
“We are excited to have Coach Hughes join our PHamily,” Johnson said. “His expertise and enthusiasm will help guide our Lady Pats to further success.”
Hughes will now begin preparing the Lady Pats for the upcoming season as the program looks to continue its tradition of excellence.
