MAN ARRESTED AFTER FIER AT ROANOKE WALMART

A man has been arrested in connection with an early morning fire at a Walmart in Roanoke.


Roanoke Fire-EMS crews responded around 2:41 a.m. Saturday, July 25, to a commercial fire in the 4800 block of Valley View Boulevard Northwest.


Following an investigation, authorities determined that the fire was intentionally set, according to fire officials.


Clifton Dwayne Delp, 45, was arrested around 9:50 a.m. Monday and charged with arson. He is being held at the Roanoke Adult Detention Center without bond.


Officials have not released additional information about the circumstances surrounding the fire or the extent of the damage.
