RIDGEWAY – As part of their current community project called Acts 20, Kingdom Point Church in Ridgeway will be providing 100 families with Thanksgiving meals. Those meals will be boxed, so they can be taken home to be cooked. Anyone can receive a box that will include turkey, corn, green beans, yams, cranberry sauce and stuffing.
The boxes, along with a speical message from Kingdom Point, formally the Ridgeway Church of God, will be handed out Tuesday from 9 AM until they're gone.
One box is said to serve four people, but there’s enough food to feed up to seven.
It is estimated that the 100 boxes cost around $2,500 to $3,000, which the church has held multiple fundraisers to meet. As of Tuesday, yams, cranberry sauce and stuffing were still needed to fill the boxes.
