Gift bags donated to sheriff's office will be given to children involved in traumatic situations

FRANKLIN COUNTY – Gift bags donated to Franklin County Sheriff's Office will be given to children involved in traumatic situations.


The Virginia Old Carolina Road Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented the sheriff office with gift bags recently.


"I want to thank this group for their heart-filled charity. When our deputies encounter children that have been innocent victims of family trauma. These gifts will be a benefit and we are very grateful," Sheriff Bill Overton stated.


"We thank this group so much for their kind gifting. We will use these items to comfort children," the sheriff's office added.
