ROCKY MOUNT – Recently, a group of local businesses and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office collected food, within each agency, for the Heavenly Manna Food Bank. Nearly 400 pounds of food was collected. Director, Frances Davis said, “I cannot express how grateful we are for this wonderful donation. This is a huge blessing and will go a long way to help feed the needy of Franklin County. Thanks to each of you that participated.” Participants were: Chamber of Commerce, Shentel, First Bank & Trust Company, Member One Federal Credit Union, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Smith Mountain Lake Real Estate, and The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
