FRANKLIN COUNTY – Tuesday, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office revealed the winner of the naming contest for their new bloodhound. The name Hunter won with 482 votes on Facebook. The sheriff's office says Hunter will be the sixth addition to their K9 program. He will be used for search and rescue missions.

FRANKLIN COUNTY – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has a new bloodhound pup and is asking all of their Facebook followers to name the K9.

The name contest ends February 20 at 5 PM. The Sheriff’s Office asks that you head over to their Facebook page and comment your name choice.
James Lockard of Northfork Bloodhounds in Abingdon donated the puppy to the Sheriff’s Office.
