ROCKY MOUNT – Friday, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division visited the Gereau Center in Rocky Mount and spoke with students about the forensics side of police work. Sergeant J. P. Nolen and Investigator Steve McFarling spoke to around 100 students on evidence collection and how science assists law enforcement in solving crimes. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said, "Special thanks to Principal Whorley for inviting us to speak with these fantastic students."
