First Patrick County resident dies after testing positive for COVID-19

Patrick County now has its first COVID-19 related death, the West Piedmont Health District's Population Health Manager Nancy Bell confirmed.

Along with the death, the department of health reported two cases in Henry County Wednesday; two women in their 40s and 50s.

Henry County's total is now at 230 cases with 22 hospitalizations and four deaths.

Martinsville has a total of 70 cases, including nine hospitalizations and one death.

In Franklin County, there are 53 cases with five hospitalizations and one death.

Patrick County has 39 cases with two hospitalizations and now one death.
