HENRY COUNTY – An 18-year-old female was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Henry County.
Sunday around 1:30 PM, the pedestrian was hit by a Jeep in the 4200 block of Appalachian Drive. The female received injuries to the face and leg. She was transported to Sovah Health by Fieldale-Collinsville Rescue Squad.
Fieldale Volunteer Fire Company, Henry County Department of Public Safety and Bassett Rescue Squad assisted at the scene.
An investigation is being conducted by Virginia State Police.
Appalachian Drive was closed during the incident.
