Evans officially in race for the House of Delegates 16th District

Libertarian Candidate Dustin W. Evans announced he has obtained the 125 ballot petition signatures required by the Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Elections to appear on the ballot in November.

Evans is now officially in the race for the House of Delegates 16th District, which includes Martinsville City and parts of Henry and Pittsylvania counties.

Evans is running against incumbent Delegate Les Adams who has been in office since January 8, 2014. Evans is a newcomer to politics.

In May 2019, he graduated from Averett University with a degree in History and Political Science. He is also a 2017 graduate of Danville Community College with an Associates Degree in Social Science.

"In his time as a student he has learned to work hard and be fiscally responsible because he saved money for school by working and did not take any student loans for this part of his education," the press release stated.

Following the November election, Evans is interested in attending law school. Dustin Evans selected a quote by Theodore Roosevelt American Statesman, politician, conservationist, naturalist, writer and 26th President of the United States.

"Knowing what is right does not mean much unless you do what is right."
