ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, NC – Two 16-year-olds were arrested during a break-in at Rockingham County High School in Reidsville, North Carolina.
Friday at around 7:22 PM, the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office responded to the high school after receiving information that security cameras alerted officials. Officials told deputies that two unauthorized individuals were inside the school. Upon their arrival, deputies began a search of the interior and located Caleb Matthew Gantt and Ashley Rosas Romero inside. Both individuals are 16 and from Reidsville, NC.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Romero is a student at Rockingham County High School, Gantt is not. Neither had permission from school officials to be there and had entered the school illegally.
Caleb Gantt was charged with Trespassing and Breaking and Entering and was released on a $1,000 unsecured bond.
Ashley Romero was charged with Breaking and Entering and was released to the custody of her parent. The Sheriff's Office says there are no mugshots of either individual as neither was processed into the Rockingham County Detention Facility. They are both scheduled to appear in court on March 21.
