Accident involving a Comcast van closes road in Ridgeway

RIDGEWAY – An accident between a Comcast Xfinity van and Chevy Cobalt closed Fisher Farm Road Wednesday around the five o’clock hour. The Comcast van damaged some nearby wires during impact. Appalachian Power responded to repair the damaged wiring. The accident which appeared to be a head-on collision happened near the intersection of Fisher Farm Road and Southland Drive in Ridgeway. One injury was reported. Ridgeway District Volunteer Fire Department and Henry County Public Safety were on scene to assist. The crash is under investigation by Virginia State Police.
