A&K Treasures is newest member of Uptown Martinsville

MARTINSVILLE, VA – A&K Treasures is the newest antique shopping option and member of Uptown Martinsville.

They were officially welcomed to the community on Friday morning with a ribbon cutting.

Owner Austin White says his shop offers antiques which are new to Martinsville and Henry County.

“I get it from all over. We just recently moved out from New York, so a lot of it's from there. It's not all from the area, but it's all newer, fresh items to the area,” White said.

The owner chose the uptown area because it offers much-needed exposure to a small business.

“Small business is everything, really. We looked at other locations, but we chose up here for the small business reason,” White added.

A&K Treasures is located at 46 East Church Street.

“We don't have a whole lot of antique shops in Martinsville-Henry County and I know there are a lot of individuals that like to go antique shopping, so this is a great opportunity. They don't have to go out of the area. They can come to uptown and find a variety of goods here,” Kimberly Keller, Uptown Entrepreneurial Development Manager, stated.

The antique shop is open Wednesday to Friday from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Call them at 315-807-7541 or 315-440-9659.
