PATRICK COUNTY – A head-on crash in Patrick County left two people dead on Thursday.
State police say at around 7:10 PM, a 2019 Ford Fusion headed east on Fairystone Parkway Highway crossed the center line and struck a 1999 Honda Passport head-on.
The Ford was driven by 36-year-old Reese O'Neil Wiggington, of Ferrum, who was wearing a seatbelt before dying at the scene.
The driver of the Honda, 48-year-old Donna Baliles Benfield, of Stuart, was also wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene.
Police say both vehicles only had a single occupant.
The crash remains under investigation.
PATRICK COUNTY – State police is on scene investigating a two vehicle collision that resulted in a fatality.
It happened at around 7 PM in the 7800 block of Fairystone Park Highway.
