Martinsville man arrested in armed robbery of acquaintance at laundromat

MARTINSVILLE, VA – A Martinsville man is behind bars for robbing an acquaintance with a gun.


The Martinsville Police Department responded to the Scrub Board Laundry Number 7, located at 900 East Church Street, for an armed robbery.


“There was a robbery of an individual at the laundry mat. The individuals involved had a mutual acquaintance,” Deputy Chief of Police Rob Fincher told BTW21 News.


The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, according to Fincher.


31-year-old Carlo Lemor Holiday, of Drewry Road, was arrested on Wednesday.


Holiday was charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.


The case remains under investigation.
