UPDATE: Collinsville Fas Mart robbery suspect turns himself in

COLLINSVILLE – Tyler Lavelle Robinson, 29, of 717 F Street in Martinsville was identified as the suspect of the robbery at the Fas Mart located at 2758 Virginia Avenue on October 22. Robinson turned himself in at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office on October 23. A warrant for one count of Robbery was served on Robinson at the Magistrates Office. He is currently being held in the Henry County Jail with no bond. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the citizens for their assistance in the identification and apprehension of the person responsible in this incident.

COLLINSVILLE – The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a robbery that occurred at Fas Mart Number 121 located at 2758 Virginia Avenue in Collinsville on Monday at 4:43 AM. An unknown black male subject entered the store and attempted to make a purchase. During the transaction the male subject reached across the counter, pushed the clerk back and took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the register drawer. The suspect was wearing a green pull-over hoodie and dark colored pants. He is described as being six tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. After taking an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency the suspect fled the store on foot running towards Virginia Avenue.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the individual involved in this robbery. Anyone having information regarding the identity and whereabouts of this individual is asked to contact the Henry County Sheriff’s Office at 276-638-8751 or Crimestoppers at 276-632-7463.
