HENRY COUNTY – On Sunday afternoon a Henry County deputy spotted the driver of a blue and white motorcycle traveling on Old Liberty Dr. without a helmet. The officer then turned around and a pursuit began. Speeds reached over 70 mph on the curvy backroads but the driver was unable to flee the officer. Once they approached the intersection of Old Liberty and 58 the driver lost control of the bike. Air Care transported the 24 year old male driver to a regional hospital with head injuries. The motorcycle tags reportedly expired. The cause of the crash is being investigated by the Virginia State Police. Charges are pending.
