Fire destroys Henry County mobile home, officials want to talk to occupant

HENRY COUNTY – Fire officials want to talk to the occupant of a mobile home that burned down Monday morning.


At 6:05 AM, crews are called to the 200 block of Bollingbrook Drive in Henry County.


Firefighters were met with a home completely engulfed in flames leaving them with not much they could do to save it.


The fire was under control in about 15 minutes.


Neighbors discovered the fire and said a family was living in the mobile home.


Officials say they could never could determine who the owner or occupants were.


According to Henry County Assistant Fire Marshal Kiah Cooper, the home had no power and the occupant left just before the fire started.


Cooper said he would like to speak with the occupant in regards to the investigation.


It was a total loss with estimated damages being $10,000.


The fire remains under investigation.


The Patrick Henry Volunteer Fire Department, Bassett Volunteer Fire Department, Henry County Public Safety and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office were on scene.
