Deputies catch man inside business during breaking and entering

FRANKLIN COUNTY, VA – Franklin County deputies nabbed a man inside a business during a breaking and entering on Wednesday night.


The Sheriff’s Office says it was called to the incident at a building located at 14189 Franklin Street in Ferrum around 10:50 p.m.


The three-story building houses two businesses and some apartments.


Deputies say they arrived within minutes and found the entrance to Crooked Road Mart had been damaged and the window to the JNI, Inc. was broken.

22-year-old Joshua Lemuel Morrow, of Browns Summit, North Carolina, was found inside of Crooked Road Mart and was arrested.

Morrow was charged with a total of six felonies and two misdemeanors relating to this case and is currently being held without bond.


Those charges include two counts of burglary, one count of petit larceny, two counts of property damage, two counts of possession of burglarious tools, and one count of wearing of mask/hood while committing a crime.
