Crash leaves two injuried in Leatherwood

LEATHERWOOD – Friday at around 11:15 PM, two individuals were injured after a single vehicle accident. A Ford F-150 run off the road and into an embankment in the 500 block of Max Kendall Road in Leatherwood. The accident left the Ford truck unstable with the roof caved in and a female entrapped. Both patients were transported to the emergency room.

During the removal of the F-150, the tow truck driver fell off the embankment and near a small creek. The male tow truck driver injured his leg during the fall and was treated by Axton Life Saving Crew. Harbour Towing and Recovery was called to remove the Ford truck.

Axton Community Fire Department, Axton Life Saving Crew, Ridgeway District Fire Department, Henry County Public Safety, Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Virginia State Police responded to the accident.
