ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, NC – A Reidsville woman was arrested for leaving children in a hot car while she went in a courthouse.
Tuesday, 31-year-old Tiffany Rae Nimmons of Reidsville, NC, was charged and arrested for three counts of misdemeanor child abuse.
Authorities say Nimmons left three children under the age of 16 inside a running vehicle in the Rockingham County Courthouse parking lot while she was inside conducting business.
According to Bailiffs, she was in the courthouse between five to ten minutes and the temperature inside the vehicle was approximately 92 degrees.
Nimmons was placed in the Rockingham County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond.
She is scheduled to appear in court on October 14.
