Woman Airlifted Following Early Morning Shooting in Henry County

Henry County, VA – August 3, 2025 (BTW21) The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an early morning shooting that left a woman seriously injured.
At approximately 1:50 AM on Sunday, deputies were dispatched to the 1700 block of Chatham Road following reports of gunfire in the area. Shortly after the initial call, a female victim arrived at SOVAH Health Martinsville by personal vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.
She was quickly triaged by medical staff and then airlifted to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for further treatment. Her current condition has not been released.
Investigators from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to collect evidence and conduct interviews.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
