Bassett, VA – November 12, 2025 — A tense, hours-long standoff in Bassett, Virginia, ended with three individuals taken into custody on November 11 after deputies attempted to serve an arrest warrant at a residence on Longview Drive.

At approximately 9:20 PM, deputies with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office arrived at 607 Longview Drive to arrest a wanted subject.

Upon their arrival, authorities were able to hear movement inside the residence, but despite repeated attempts to communicate, no one would answer the door.

After exhausting all efforts to make contact with the occupants, the deputies applied for and were granted a search warrant.
