Virginia State Police Sergeant Dennis McBride told BTW21 News the moped was headed in the wrong direction when it was hit by a Nissan sedan.

“Appears the moped was traveling north in the southbound lanes and the vehicle that was headed south struck the moped head-on,” Sergeant McBride added.
