Video captures moment Henry County school bus carrying 12 students is hit head-on

FIELDALE, VA – Video shows the moment a Henry County school bus with 12 students on board was hit head-on.

The crash happened just before 4 p.m. Monday in the 5000 block of Appalachian Drive in Fieldale.

A black Dodge Ram pickup truck can be seen in the video crossing the centerline and hitting the school bus head-on.

The collision spent the school bus through a guard rail and down a hill.

Virginia State Police said 3 students from Bassett High School and Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School and the bus driver sustained non-critical injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
