MARTINSVILLE – A vehicle driving north on Memorial Boulevard hit and snapped a pole in two after an accident. The crash happen at the intersection of DuPont Road and Memorial Boulevard just minutes after 1 PM Wednesday. Power lines across the road closed Memorial Boulevard. Traffic was routed to use the ValleyStar Credit Union parking lot to go around the accident. The driver was treated for minor injuries by Martinsville Fire and EMS. The road was opened at 3:15 PM. Virginia State Police is investigating.
