HENRY COUNTY, VA – Route 220 has reopened after two separate tractor trailer crashes caused delays in Henry County on Tuesday.
At around 7 a.m., crews were called to the first crash involving an overturned tractor trailer that was hauling logs on Ridgeway.
According to first responder at the scene, the semi was turning onto the northbound lanes of Route 220 from Route 87 when it flipped and sent the logs onto the southbound lanes and under another semi.

The second tractor trailer crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. also on Route 220.
The semi was traveling in the southbound lanes near the North Carolina state line when it ran off the right side of the roadway and came to a rest on its side.
