Two Men Injured in Lynchburg Shooting

Two men were injured in a shooting in Lynchburg on Tuesday afternoon, January 14, according to Lynchburg Police.


Police responded to reports of shots fired at approximately 4:48 p.m. in the 1800 block of Park Avenue.


Upon arriving at the scene, authorities discovered one man who had sustained injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment.


Around the same time, another man arrived at the hospital with similar gunshot wounds.


Lynchburg Police confirmed that one of the men is in stable condition, while the other remains in critical condition.


Authorities believe both men were injured during the same incident, though further details about the shooting have not been released.


Investigators are actively working to gather more information and piece together what led to the shooting.


Police are encouraging anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have information to come forward.
