Two Men in Critical Condition After Shooting During Attempted Robbery in Danville

The Danville Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that occurred following an attempted robbery on the evening of Saturday, February 15.


The incident took place just before 8 p.m. in the 300 block of Ross Street.


Officers arrived at the scene to find two males suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims was a resident of the home.


A third individual who had been injured in the exchange of gunfire was transported to SOVAH Health Danville by private vehicle for medical attention.



According to police, the altercation began when two armed men entered the residence, which was occupied by two other males, and demanded items.


A struggle ensued, and gunfire was exchanged between the suspects and the residents.


All three wounded men were later transferred to other medical facilities for further treatment, and as of this report, two of the men remain in critical condition.



The Danville Police Department urges anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
