Two Henry County Sheriff’s vehicles involved in crash




HENRY COUNTY, VA – A Tuesday night crash involving two Henry County Sheriff’s vehicles sent one person to the hospital.


A Kia sedan rear-ended a Sheriff’s Office K9 vehicle that was stopped at a red traffic light.


The collision caused that patrol unit to be pushed into another that was also stopped at the light.


This all happened on Virginia Avenue near the Memorial Boulevard intersection around 10:15 p.m.


The deputies were not injured and driver of the Kia was taken to the hospital for injuries.


There was no K9 inside the deputy’s vehicle during the crash.


The Virginia State Police is investigating the crash.
