Police identify men killed, suspects of restaurant shooting in Martinsville

MARTINSVILLE, VA – Two people are facing charges following a shooting at a Martinsville restaurant that left two men dead Friday night.


Jamal Emun Jenkins, 24, of Collinsville was charged with:

  • First-degree murder

  • Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony

  • Willful discharge of a firearm in a public place resulting in a death

Rosario Nasiar Eggleston, 20, of Martinsville has been charged with:

  • Aggravated malicious wounding

  • Conspiracy to commit aggravated malicious wounding

  • Use of a firearm in the commission of a felony

  • Willful discharge of a firearm in a public place resulting in a death


Virginia State Police say several people began arguing at the bar area of El Norteño Mexican Restaurant at about 10:30 p.m..


According to authorities, the argument turned into a fight that led to Keilo Anton Martin, 23, and Shavon Lamont Reid, 33, both of Martinsville, being shot and killed before police arrived.


Two men are still being treated at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for gunshot wounds.


The investigation is ongoing.
