PATRICK COUNTY – Two bodies have been recovered following a residential structure fire, according to Sheriff Dan Smith. At approximately 8:00 AM Wednesday morning, deputies responded to 1249 Dan Valley Farm Road in reference to a possible shooting incident. While in route to the scene, deputies learned that the residence at 1249 Dan Valley Farm Road was fully engulfed in flames. Multiple fire departments from throughout the county responded to the scene and extinguished the fire, according to Smith. A search of the burnt debris produced two bodies. The sheriff indicated that the home was totally destroyed as a result of the fire. Smith said that Ronnie Glenn Terry his wife Carol Ann resided in the home, but stated that no identification has been made on either of the recovered bodies. Both bodies have been transported to the state medical examiner’s office in Roanoke for an autopsy. Both cause of death and identification will be made there, according to the sheriff. Smith stated that it could take a substantial amount of time to make positive identification. Sheriff Smith stated that evidence suggests that there was a domestic dispute inside of the residence prior to deputies being called to the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to call Investigator Brian Hubbard at 276 692 6512 or Sheriff Smith at 276 692 7012
