MARTINSVILLE, Va. — (BTW21) Patrick & Henry Community College is celebrating a major achievement in its softball program as three of its star players — Kayla Bartley, Laila Rodriguez, and Greenly Elliott — have been named to the 2025 NFCA NJCAA Division III First Team All-American Team.
This prestigious honor places the trio among the best junior college softball players in the nation and caps off a stellar season that saw the Lady Pats finish as national runners-up.
Kayla Bartley emerged as one of the top pitchers in the country during the 2025 campaign.
Known for her velocity, competitive fire, and ability to shine in high-pressure moments, Bartley was a dominant force in the circle and played a pivotal role in P&H’s postseason success.
Laila Rodriguez, a key contributor to the Lady Pats’ 2024 national championship squad, returned this season with seasoned leadership and relentless energy.
Renowned for her speed and versatility, Rodriguez made her mark as a dual threat — disrupting opponents’ defenses and anchoring her team with veteran poise.
Greenly Elliott, also a 2024 national champion, served as the team’s spark plug from the leadoff position. As the Lady Pats’ center fielder, Elliott’s range in the outfield and ability to jumpstart the offense consistently set the tone for the team.
“These three are the heart of our program,” said Head Coach Roger Campbell. “Kayla, Laila, and Greenly have set the bar for what it means to be a Lady Pat — tough, selfless, and committed to excellence.
Their dedication and impact on the field have helped elevate P&H softball to national prominence. I couldn’t be prouder of them.”
The NFCA NJCAA Division III All-American Team is selected annually by a national panel of coaches and highlights the top talent from two-year colleges across the country.
Together, Bartley, Rodriguez, and Elliott not only led Patrick & Henry to an outstanding 2025 season but also reinforced the school’s reputation as a powerhouse in junior college softball.
Patrick & Henry Community College competes in NJCAA Region 10 and is committed to fostering academic success, athletic excellence, and personal growth.
