Three arrested after search warrants net drugs, guns in Rockingham County

STONEVILLE, NC – Rockingham County Sheriff's Vice Narcotics Detectives served search warrants at two addresses in Stoneville, North Carolina on Wednesday, September 12.

Search warrant number one was executed at 6202 NC 770 in Stoneville where Sheriff's Vice Narcotics Detectives seized:

  • four handguns

  • ammunition

  • 7.6 grams of Heroin

  • 40.2 grams of Marijuana

  • drug paraphernalia

  • U.S. currency

Desmond Jeraine Whisonant, age 37, of 6202 NC 770 in Stoneville was subsequently charged and arrested for:

  • Trafficking in Heroin

  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

  • Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance

  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

  • Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana

  • Maintaining a Dwelling to Sell Controlled Substances

He was placed in the Rockingham County Detention Facility under a $30,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on September 27.

Search warrant number two was executed at nearby 107 Leigh Drive in Stoneville where Sheriff's Vice Narcotics Detectives seized:

  • 26.36 grams of Methamphetamine

  • various pills

  • drug paraphernalia

  • Marijuana

  • U.S. currency

Sherry Hall McCollum, age 47, of 107 Leigh Drive in Stoneville was subsequently charged and arrested for:

  • Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance

  • Simple Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance

  • Possession of Marijuana up to half an ounce

  • Simple Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance

  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

  • Maintaining a Dwelling to Sell Controlled Substances.

She was placed in the Rockingham County Detention Facility under a $10,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on September 27.

Walker Wray Bullins, age 23, of 1057 Rock Bar Road in Sandy Ridge was also charged and arrested for Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was placed in the Rockingham County Detention Facility under a $20,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on September 27.
