Third suspect of deadly shooting at Martinsville restaurant arrested

MARTINSVILLE, VA – A third suspect has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at a Martinsville restaurant in February.

21-year-old Jamel Turner, of Collinsville, was charged with two counts of aggravated malicious wounding, use of firearm in committing a felony, and shooting in a public place resulting in injury.

According to court records, Turner was a shooter who was also hit by gunfire during the incident.

24-year-old Jamal Jenkins, of Collinsville, and 20-year-old Rosario Eggleston, of Martinsville, were also charged in connection with two shooting deaths.

Virginia State Police say 23-year-old Keilo Martin and 33-year-old Shavon Reid, both of Martinsville, were shot and killed inside the bar area of the restaurant on February 5.

State police are investigating since a Martinsville police officer was involved.

Court records say that restaurant security video shows Eggleston and Turner inside the restaurant.

Video then shows both men go to the patio outside the restaurant and the men fire their guns toward two other men in the parking lot.

One of the two men was hit by gunfire and was transported to the hospital.

Turner has been released from the hospital after he was also hit by gunfire.
