HORSEPASTURE, VA – A 14-year-old boy was flown to a hospital after he was bitten by a dog on Wednesday.
The incident happened on Moores Mill Road in Horsepasture at around 6:30 p.m.
The 9-1-1 communications center said the teen was bitten by his neighbor's dog in the leg.
Paramedics flew him for treatment from a landing zone set up at Mayo Baptist Church.
While his condition is unknown, the teen’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Animal control was called to the scene, but the dogs whereabouts are unknown at this time.
The Horsepasture Volunteer Fire Department, Henry County Department of Public Safety and Henry County Sheriff's Office were present at the scene.
